Zephyranthes and other Rain Lilies!

Zephyranthes and related Rain Lilies are native to the Americas but don't receive the attention that they deserve at home. These easy to grow bulbs have lovely flowers that re-bloom freely after every rain, and they can tell the difference between rain and tap water. Less than 100 species of Zephyranthes are currently recognized, but breeders have produced many more very colorful cultivars. Most Zephyranthes are hardy to Zone 7 and can be grown in containers in colder climates. This forum is dedicated both to the advancement of knowledge about Zephyranthes and to spreading awareness of this so-called "minor" bulb to a wider public.
